about

"Ging Zik" is a Chinese Cantonese term, which refers to the insects that are awakened
from winter sleep and soil; and it serves as a symbol of the first season of the year.
In this track, I have tried to present Ging Zik's life loop; Ging Zik, a metaphysical
energize symbol for Chinese, which is awakened by some certain frequencies of the
universe from winter sleep and comes out from the soil, has nice messages from the
universe for us.
And after that, it will live for a year and another time with changing of universe
frequencies by winter will again sleep under the soil and wait for spring to come; and
this loop is repeating again and again like music notes that universe is playing for us.

The concept of this artwork was to create an abstract visual presentation of Ging-zik’s
life cycle by using contrast and different colors as a representation of so called chapters
of its life, and also lead the viewer to feel like he/she is trapped in a loop somehow.
